FROM THE DESK OF AAPL PRESIDENT:

Hypatia G LaCour, RPL | Published on 3/27/2020

We hope you and your family are in good health. We want you to know the AAPL leadership has been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving global outbreak of COVID-19 and continues to assess how best to serve our association as we all face unprecedented challenges affecting businesses, communities and families. Prior to COVID-19, we already had begun to see a significant downturn in landwork for many of our members. These combined events have created challenging times for our members and their families and we are sympathetic to these challenges. We continue to do our best to serve your needs during this time.

We take the health of our members and staff seriously, and AAPL’s office in Fort Worth is currently following the shelter at home mandate by the city of Fort Worth until at least April 7, 2020. All staff members are working remotely and are available to serve our members. Enhancing our social distancing through telecommuting is one of the most effective approaches we can implement without significant disruption to our operations.

As a reminder, AAPL has postponed all in-person education events through April 20, 2020, to prevent the potential spread of the virus. Please check the AAPL Events Calendar for the latest information. Additionally, keep in mind the valuable resource of Professional Development Assistance that may be provided to our Active Members.

Please note if you are sending materials to our office via UPS or FedEx, you must provide tracking information to info@landman.org or your package will not be able to be delivered during this time.

Stay safe, and thank you for your continued support of AAPL.

Sincerely,

Jay W. Beavers III, CPL
AAPL President
